Fall and Pumpkins

There are a lot of things that I enjoy about the fall season: cool mornings, changing leaves, and corn mazes to name a few. But one of my favorite fall offerings is the pumpkin. So whether I'm carving, eating, or drinking, I like a large dose of pumpkin during the fall. And every year there are so many things to satisfy all of us who are pumpkin lovers: pumpkin picking, pumpkin carving, pumpkin pie, pumpkin cheesecake, roasted pumpkin seeds, pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin spice beer, pumpkin candles, and pumpkin smashing for those with a slight destructive streak. I'm curious...how many of you enjoy pumpkins? If you do, tell me about your favorite pumpkin activity, memory, food, or drink. Share a recipe, a memory, or whatever...if it involves a pumpkin, feel free to write about it in the comment section.

If anyone comes across a place where I can purchase Pumpkin Spice Syrup, please let me know. I'd like to make a Pumpkin Spice Latte at home so that I can save a little cash.

Well, my fondest memories of pumpkins and fall was with you. We had just been married a year and were living in our very first house. I wanted to decorate our house for fall so badly. We didn't have much money but you agreed that I could buy a bail of hay, a bunch of small gourds and one pumpkin. We had so much fun decorating that pumpkin. I was so proud of my very first fall front porch. Even after the pumpkins had started to rot and the hay bail was stinking I still didn't want to take it down. But then we noticed stains on our front porch and you told me it was time to get rid of it. Thinking back at this time makes me laugh. When you first get married and have no money, oh, how the smallest things can bring so much joy and laughter. Thanks honey for letting me have that memory. I love you my pumpkin-head.
