Self-Evaluative Questions

Is it just me or are self-evaluative questions often difficult to answer? For instance, I was recently asked how I would describe my style of leadership and it took me a while to think through the question. Although we should be able to describe ourselves easily, we are often unaware of the things that are so clear and evident to others.
