I'll confess: even when I am supposed to be on vacation it is often difficult for me to relax and take my mind off of ministry and school. To some extent, this is to be expected because I believe ministry work is God's calling on my life. Yet, at the same time, there is more to my life than ministry, school, work, etcetera.

Thankfully, during my Christmas vacation with family (in SC and VA), I haven't had any difficulty taking a break. It has been wonderful. My time with my wife, daughters and other family members has been priceless. The Lord really blessed us this week--even though Adalynne and Alora have both been battling sickness.

Well be home in a few days after a great week of real vacation.
